This is George, my veiled chameleon. Obviously taken before his death. The caging you see is a homemade job, using 1/4" mesh. I wonder if there's some coating, like galvanizing (which is zinc, I believe), on the mesh. Both he and Roxanne died in this cage, and within a relatively short time of each other. Neither was really old even by chameleon standards. It's possible they absorbed something through their skins from the mesh.
